The various skip bins you can hire

One of the most unappealing sites you can ever come across in your neighbourhood is the site of waste scattered all over the ground. Land and other places that have unattended waste become automatically devalued, with little visual appeal and an unhygienic environment for everyone. However, there is one solution for this problem, skip bins. Skip bins are specifically designed bins used for the collection and depositing of waste. There are different types of skip bins in the market and they are used to collect various types of wastes such as green waste, heavy waste, asbestos waste, general waste and construction waste. These bins come in an array of colours, design, and sizes to suit your specific need. Below are a few types of skip bins that you can hire:

Green waste bins

A green waste skip bin is used to collect green waste materials from the surrounding environment or people's homes. Some examples of green waste include wood chips and barks, tree trunks, palm fronds, leaves, small branches and light green waste such as grass cuttings and shrubs. However, you should note that there other types of wastes that should not be dumped in this type of bin such as rocks, soil, tiles and other types of hazardous materials.

Asbestos waste bins

An asbestos waste bin is specifically made for various types of chemical waste and asbestos sheeting waste. This includes internal and external sheeting, fences, demolition waste, roof sheeting, and insulation. The bins are double coated using virgin plastic according to set regulations and waste management policies in most localities. It should be sealed using high-quality duct tape to ensure the waste remains in the bin at all times. Because of the sensitivity and hazardous nature of this type of waste, they are disposed at an identified and authorised waste disposal site. There are few types of waste that you should not deposit in this type of bin such as wet paint containers and food.

General waste bins

A general waste skip bin is used to collect and deposit general dirt. Some of the general wastes include household waste such as toys, paper, clothes and kitchenware; light construction waste such as dry gyprock and untreated pieces of wood; appliances and furniture such as fridges, cupboards, washing machines and lounges; and light green waste such as grass clippings and shrubs. However, there are wastes that should not be deposited in this bin such as tiles, concrete, bricks, soil or hazardous materials like insulation, asbestos and chemical containers.

Construction waste bins

A construction waste bin is designed for collecting and depositing construction wastes from construction sites or demolition sites. The types of construction waste that are allowed to be deposited in this bin include metal, timer, gyprock, demolition waste and bricks. However, hazardous materials should not be dumped in this bin at any one time.
